If These 15 Tweets Make Any Sense To You, Then It's Definitely Time To Log Off

X user @Wangleberry asked a simple question β what were some the site's central pillars of text? Twitter, now unfortunately known as X, started the social media and website trend of microblogging, but it quickly became known for hot takes and short comedic bits with frequent intentional typos. @Wangleberry's tweet referenced a @Dril joke from 2012, author Patricia Lockwood's iconic tweet about her cat Miette and Ed Balls's Ed Balls tweet.
What are the load-bearing posts of our time? Obviously 'facing god and walking backwards into hell' and 'miette' are up there. Does Ed Balls still count? PS if you can parse this you should probably log off

"Load-bearing" is quite a funny way to frame this discussion, and could possibly be a reference to this moment from "Seinfeld." It does also directly infers that certain tweets helped establish and build Twitter into an essential social media site.
Everyone falls for Twitter nostalgia on X, even if that sentence sounds wrong. A lot of people responded with their favorites "load-bearing" moments, and it was no surprise to see Dril making multiple appearances. But, we couldn't just publish 15 Dril tweets, so these were some of our favorite replies to this thread full of bangers.
