Speeding behind the wheel killed a staggering 12,151 people in the US in 2022 — and according to new research, drivers of certain car models might be more guilty of this reckless behavior than others.

To find out which vehicles rack up the most speeding violations, Insurify analyzed car insurance data and ranked the top 10 car models with the highest share of speeding tickets.

Drivers of the Subaru BRZ are worst for driving at dangerous speeds; nearly a quarter (23.9 percent) have received at least one speeding violation.

The second car model on the list is the Hyundai Genesis Coupe, with almost 22 percent of drivers counting one or more speeding tickets on their records.

According to the study, Tesla Model Y drivers have the lowest share of speeding tickets overall (two percent).
